Experience the raw, dramatic beauty of the Agafay Desert on an exhilarating quad biking adventure just 30 minutes from Marrakech. Unlike the sandy Sahara, the Agafay is a rocky, lunar desert landscape — a moonscape of bare hills, dried riverbeds, and ancient Berber trails that offer spectacular riding terrain.
After a safety briefing and a quick lesson for beginners, you'll mount your powerful quad bike and set off into this otherworldly landscape with your guide leading the way. The route winds through rocky plateaus, past isolated Berber farmhouses, along ancient camel tracks and, on clear days, with the snow-capped peaks of the High Atlas forming a breathtaking backdrop.
The Agafay offers something unique — it's the closest desert experience to Marrakech, with a landscape that feels utterly remote and wild, yet you're never far from the city. This makes it the perfect activity for travellers who want the desert experience without a full day of travel. The 1-hour tour covers approximately 25km; the 2-hour tour extends into more remote terrain.
Quad bikes suit all abilities, from complete beginners to experienced riders. Your guide adjusts the pace to your comfort level. Helmets and goggles are provided. The experience is dusty, exciting, and completely unforgettable — particularly at sunset when the Agafay turns gold and the Atlas Mountains glow pink.
